Vintage Christmas Taller Irwin Celluloid Roly Poly Santa in Chimney USA 1930s
None of the Santa Claus roly polys are that prevalent. They came out during the depression. And because they were a bit fancier than the regular rattles, they cost more and did not sell as well.
This Santa roly poly was made by Irwin. It has the globe mark that is blurred that you can see in the last picture. What makes this roly poly unique is that it is taller than the usual Irwin Santas. This Santa is 4-3/8" tall x 2-1/2" wide x 2-3/4 deep. This Santa is made out of the heavier Irwin celluloid.
It is red with airbrushed detail in white and green. I do not see this roly poly very often!! This piece is from the 1930s.
This celluloid Santa roly poly does not have any cracks or dents. There are a couple of nicks to the paint.
They are part of the description. I love to consider reasonable offers. Thanks for shopping in my store!
