Ant Halloween 1891 Legend Sleepy Hollow Washington Irving Steelplate Engravings
Written by the renowned author, Washington Irving. And taken from his Sketch Book Works. An ICONIC Halloween Season story. Published by J B Lippincott Philadelphia, in 1891. Filled with stunning Steelplate Engravings. Quite special, is the "Halloween Worthy" Engraving, of the Headless Horseman. Thus is not an easy Book to find. The Cover, done in eggshell, blue and gold colors, features the Headless Horseman.
Seen throwing the Pumpkin at Ichabod Crane. The Book Binding and Pages are still very tight. Attesting to the fact, that it was read only once, if any at all. No missing, creased or torn pages.
The only imperfection, is a very small nibble, from the front bottom right. The Gold Gilt, on the Page Edges, is still bright and strong. The Book measures approximately 1/3"× 8". A Fantastic and UNIQUE Halloween Season collectible.
