Vintage Christmas Holt Howard Atomic 1959 Starry Eyed Santa Mug Retro Midcentury. A darling starry eyed Santa mug with the handle turned out, which is Santa's hat. The color of Santa's eyes are an usual green. His curly beard is edged in gold and stands out in bas relief. The top of the mug is doted with gold and he has a red nose and an upturned red mouth.
The hat handle is dusted in gold at the pom pom. Backstamp reads 1959 Holt Howard in black.
There is crazing throughout the mug, tiny paint loss on bottom right of his nose. A pin hole inside the mug during the manufacturing process. A couple of yellow marks on the unglazed bottom of the mug.
Condition of Starry Santa is very good for its age. A fun whimsical retro piece for the midcentury collector. Size is 2 1/4 tall. Diameter across opening is 3 1/3" Handle length is 2".
