RARE! VINTAGE 1920'S GERMAN HALLOWEEN DIECUT'TIARA' CAT WithHAT FLANKED BY OWLS
Antique/Vintage German Diecut Tiara - a Cat Face Wearing a Feathered Hat, flanked by two Owls with Outstretched Wings, accented with Hexagrams. Diecut has matte finish & is heavily embossed - love the straw detail on the hat, the fabulous crescent moon & hexagrams on the rim, the cat's fur and the detailed owl's faces! Measures 9.75" wide x 6" tall. Hang hole intact, there are holes on either end where, at one time, a string was attached. Embossed'GERMANY' on the hat rim, circa 1920's - 100 years old! NO tape or tape residue! NO folds, tears, or bends! All original, NOT a reproduction. Wear consistent with age: wear to green iridescent paint on eyes and tiara hexagrams; some rubs on black paint. Listed in'Vintage Halloween Collectibles, 3rd Edition' by Mark Ledenbach on page 188, in the Relative Scarcity Index, rated a 1 - EXCEEDINGLY RARE!
