Large 24 Vintage Santa Claus Plush Doll Hard Face Cute Not Creepy
This big plush Santa Claus doll measures approximately 25 inches tall, not including hat and boots. I'm guessing he's from the 50s, though I haven't found another just like him. I think he has a pleasant face, unlike some of my other Santa Claus dolls. He came to me shoeless, but I found that Build A Bear boots fit him nicely, though the hook & loop backs don't close. I haven't found any sign of a manufacturers mark. His face is not rubber, but a molded plastic material. His head is a bit floppy.
I found 3 T-pins in the back of his neck. They may have been an attempt to support his head. I'll send them along. His yellowed beard has a few bare patches. There's a black spot on his left hip, and a faded spot just above the left ankle.
The faux fur on his left elbow is stiff, probably from some sticky little fingers. I haven't tried to wash it as I'm unsure how to do so without damage.
I haven't noticed any unpleasant odors. Packed weight is 4 pounds.
