Antique 1920s German Easter Bunny rabbit banjo painted nodder candy container
Charming, fun, and cute, antique 1920s Easter Rabbit musician, bunny nodder/bobble head, candy container. Fun, and bright, hand painted details, on the composition body. Manufactured in Germany for the North American market. The paper glasses and painted banjo, on the bunny, make him really unique and full of character! The bunny's head moves back and forth and plays a delightful bell sound when moving.
The bunny's in used condition with flaws. The biggest flaw, is that he's missing his left hand, which was, originally attached to the nodder at one point. He also has paint loss throughout his clothes, water marks/stains on the inside of the paper candy container. There's also glue near his glasses, and paint/paper loss in places. The brass springs are a bit rusty and aged. Measuring at 14 1/8 tall with the bunny's ears. The bottom candy container, measures 3" by 3" inches wide. The inside depth is 2" 5/8 by 1" 1/4 tall. The outside depth is the rabbit's body is 3 inches. The green felt on the bottom of the container, is a newer restoration from former owners.
Please study the photos for all the shown explained flaws and conditions. I acquired this unique and hard to find, Easter decoration 11 years ago. And these candy container types just don't show up on the vintage market. Despite, his missing hand, he's in great shape, and has expressive, decorative, and fun and expressive details!
