Vintage 1930s BEISTLE Halloween Black Cat Die Cut - Heavily Embossed, Unpopped Easel Back - EXCELLENT. A beautifully preserved, 100% authentic vintage 1930s-1940s Halloween black cat die-cut decoration manufactured by The Beistle Company. This piece features a wonderfully spooky, stylized arched-back cat with a winking expression, bold orange eyes, and a fanged grin.
It is made of thick, heavily embossed cardboard showcasing deep molded textures throughout the fur and face. Features the original unpopped, integrated fold-out easel tab on the lower front leg reading Fold Easel / Made in U. In classic red vintage font. Size: Stands approximately 7.75 inches tall (see measurements against ruler in photos). The lithograph colors are sharp, deep, and unfaded.
No major creases, tears, or repairs. The reverse side shows clean, uniform age-toning. It retains its original punched string hole at the top arch for optional hanging. The easel back has never been folded or used. A premier piece of pre-war American Halloween ephemera that would make an incredible addition to any advanced Beistle collection.
