Vintage Paper Mache Halloween Devil Bucket

  

Here, is what I believe to be a piece molded sometime during the 1980's. I expect, molded after/from an F N Burt lantern. A Dimestore Style Halloween Paper Mache Lantern measuring 6-3/8" in height, and just under 6" in width. As seen in our photos, hollow with wire bale handle as well as it's original (Eye, and Mouth) paper insert. My research tells me: handpressed into a mold, airbrushed, and adorned with handpainted detail to mimic the old American relics of long ago. Laser colored inserts are also made from original examples and are tape-tacked in so that you may remove to create different expressions as eyes and mouths can be adjusted and retaped.
