Vintage German Halloween Candy Container Pumpkin Clown Bowler Hat Harlequin. A wonderful, German Halloween candy container. This charming piece stands approximately 2.5 inches tall and features a whimsical Pumpkin Man / Harlequin Clown character. Head/Lid: Crafted from molded composition/pulp material, featuring hand-painted features, wide "googly" style eyes, an open-mouthed grin, and a molded black bowler hat.
The head is securely attached to its original flat-brim cardboard lid. Base: The candy container base is a heavy cardboard cylinder wrapped in its original, vibrant multi-colored diamond harlequin pattern crepe paper. Markings: The interior bottom of the container features a crisp, clear, stamped "GERMANY" export mark. The composition head retains bright, crisp original paint with very minimal shelf wear. The fragile crepe paper on the base shows minor, typical age-related drying and fine splitting near the edges/seams, but remains completely intact and structurally sound.
