ULTRA RARE Large Bethany Lowe Halloween Crow With Circus Costume & Monocle Retired
Offering a couple items from my personal collection of retired Bethany Lowe Halloween collectibles. The owl and the crow are my favorite Halloween pieces and used to adorn one of our fireplace mantels like mystical sentinels. They are in excellent used condition and I have been the original owner.
This black crow is lightweight, made of papier mache and like his sidekick, the owl, are dressed in orange & black circus costumes. These anthropomorphic symbols of Halloween were adapted from antique Halloween postcard art created by Ellen Clapsaddle, famous for her artistic & original designs. He has an orange suit with a black bat pattern, coordinating pointed hat with big pompoms, a metal monocle on a chain link at one eye, and large, heavy tissue paper ruffled collar. He stands sturdily on his crow feet and carries a be-ribboned parade stick with a grinning skull & pointed hat, held in his "wing" hand. The parade stick is removable and snaps into place.
He is 20 tall by approx. 13" wide by 11" deep.
You can tell the shape of his costume in back is shaped to contain his tail. Both the crow & owl are in like-new condition and have been retired for several years. I will pack them with utmost care, just the way I would want someone to pack for me.
