Rare German Victorian Era Christmas Die Cut Father Christmas /Snow Children

  

From a collection in Virginia comes this EARLY die-cut showcasing an Incredible early depiction of Father Christmas.. Its early, incredible details & coloring that then sports a light dusting of mica snow.. Showy example- measures just at 11. There appears a remnant of what was a snowy fence that would have popped out in front of him- and from the back you can see the die-cut had an easle- long gone, further it looks like he came out of a Victorian scrap book. Neither the missing low fence or the fact that he more than likely was preserved all these years in a book take anything away from the piece.. And honestly, its how a lot of these are discovered and found so well preserved. This is a Hard die-cut to find, especially in this size.. Pictures help to tell the story Best.
