Thankfully it has volume control and song selector. Can set clock to play mode to sound off each hour It is made of beautiful Mahogany Wood/Glass and measures approx. Perfect gift for an older person. Please note that the battery that is included with this appears to not be useable as it is old. It does have an electrical cord. These are getting harder to find and it will make an awesome gift for any collector of music boxes. Box does have wear to include a puncture, which I taped.
