Antique Copy of the Harper's Bazar Black/White Illustration by Thomas Nast titled,'MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT. Features Santa, Pulled by (7) Reindeer and Flying Over Town. This Illustration by Nast, appeared in the Newspaper on January 4, 1879. Thomas Nast moved to Morristown, New Jersey in 1874 and he frequently used views of the town in his drawings, especially the spires of the town's churches.
The spires illustrated here are: (left to right) Assumption Church; Morristown Baptist Church; the Methodist Church; St. Peter's Church and Presbyterian Parish House. Professionally framed by The Framer's Workshop in Canton, Ohio with red mat and gray, painted frame. Framed Picture is large, measuring 19.5" wide x 25.5" tall.
