Ultra RARE & Early GERMAN Father Christmas Cotton Wrapped Figure- Easel Back
Let's talk construction- its early. Heavy cardstock creates the body structure. True cotton batting is then formed around the cardstock frame.. The figure is embellished with dresden stars and a wonderful, textured open coat- showing off the coats lining.
Very detailed, blue surrounding the face. Delicate facial features, especially around the eyes- another indicator of something quite old. It stands freely with clever easel from behind.
