Wonderful Ceramic 5-Piece X'mas Breakfast Set. Santa Claus Egg Cups, complete with Red Knit Hats Adorned with Small Bells (will keep your egg warm until ready-to-eat, includes original packing material). Attributed to Kreiss, although unmarked, circa 1956/1957. Measurements are: Egg Cups 3.5" tall (with hats) x 2" wide; Bell 3" tall x 1.75" wide; and Shakers are 2.5" tall x 2.5" wide. Wear consistent with age: Mrs. Claus's spaghetti trim appears to have been placed in 5 different pieces then glazed/painted (one small piece on left also showing a crack which does not go through) - appears to have been done during manufacture (photos 7, 9, and 10); Santa bell has two small areas on bottom rim that are also glazed over - appears to have happened during manufacture also (last photo); there is surface soiling; few flecks of paint missing here & there; surface soiling. Comes with Original Box & Original Silver Insert, both of which does show wear: edge and corner wear; tears; tape remnants; scuffs and discoloration; small tear in silver insert.
